Lake Elmo Approves 21.9% Increase to the Tax Levy for 2018

Higher costs for staffing and increased debt payments were the two main factors contributing to the increase.  The higher than normal increase is also partly due to the fact that the city council in 2016 used one time cash reserve funds to lower the 2017 levy below the 2016 level.
