Financial Services Firm Backs Away From Lake Elmo

On February 7, the Lake Elmo city council voted 3-2 (Fliflet and Lundgren dissenting) to hire a financial services firm to replace the city’s outgoing finance director. But the city is renewing its search after the firm withdrew from a contract before work began.  The firm’s President said “if you don’t have the full support of the council we will not be successful”.  Quote council member Bloyer: “It’s sad that we find ourselves in a position that it seems nobody wants to work with the city of Lake Elmo”.  Here is the link to the Stillwater Gazette article:
